the Quw'utsun' Cultural Centre, guests are introduced to our world. The legends, history and culture of the Cowichan People and the
Coast Salish Nation.
Cultural
Interpretive Tour & Great Deeds- 1 Hour Experience

All our
cultural interpreters are indigenous from the Cowichan Tribes and share
the oral legends, teachings and stories which began long before
recorded history and have been passed from generation to generation.
The interpreter will guide you through all of the Totem
poles that inhabit the facility teaching you of their
meanings.

Great Deeds- you will be captivated by our
spectacular multi-media presentation, which depicts an oral
history of the Cowichan People. Great Deeds was produced by
one of the worlds leading production companies, who worked
closely with Cowichan Tribes. The result is an educational
and emotional experience that will be the highlight of your
visit.
The Quwutsun Dancers
- A
show of the songs and dances passed down from many generations.
Watch Cowichan youth
and their teacher in regalia,
and hear the sound of our traditional drums and singing.-
The performance can
be booked at a set fee, or is included in the MDBBQ Package
of 40+ people.

- Feast on
freshly barbequed Wild Pacific salmon in a beautiful setting along the Cowichan
River
- Every table is served their lunch on a giant cedar
plank, laid across their table, displaying a feast.
- In summer months served outdoors on the Cowichan River's
edge, during the winter the Barbeque is served in our
replica long-house, the Comeakin House, overlooking the
river.

coordinator for fees and availability.
- Groups over 40ppl have the option to view the Quw'utsun'
Dancers at an additional cost.
