Your beautiful Cowichan hand-knit pieces will arrive with a certificate of authenticity ensuring that it is one of a kind. The knitters have demonstrated the skills necessary to become a recognized Cowichan Knitter. Besides the patterns featured above, we are able to customize your articles with your own designs upon request. Although each knitter works to a pattern (some of which have been in their family for many years), the hand-knitting technique used will result in minor variations in the pattern, so that no two sweaters are alike—each one is a unique example of the Cowichan knitter’s art. As well, the wool is processed to maintain the natural lanolin which make the sweaters water resistant. |
